About organisation
Public institution “Kalėdų Senelio paštas” (Santa’s Post Office) writes responses to children’s letter addressed to the Lithuanian Santa Claus – Kalėda. It is a both social and educational project, as the responses are written both in normative language and the dialects, illustrated with traditional folk art ornaments and symbols. Other social activity is visiting children in various care institutions and hospitals. The institution organises the massive Kalėda welcoming events in Vilnius and other towns, also Christmas celebrations based on Lithuanian Christmas traditions and customs.
