About organisation
The new media art club “Pozityvas” mostly consists of young people. The aim of the club is to foster cultural heritage traditions, initiate and implement projects, exhibitions, art campts, volunteer in implementing and initiating cultural activities. The club collects ethnographic materials, makes photographs and sound records to preserve it.
Projects
“One day at the President Antanas Smetona’s Manour” (2015) – photography exhibition at the Ukmergė Ethnography Museum and in Glasgow (Scotland). „One day of photography in Ukmergė” (2016). Taking photographs of contemporary Ukmergė. Ethnographic expedition following the life paths of A. Smetona (2015–2017). Taking photographs of the places visited by the President of Lithuania Antanas Smetona in 1927, searching for remaining documents. International photography camp “The photo ode to the duke S. K. Kosakovsky” (2017). Introduction to photographic heritage of the Duke, places related to Kosakovsky family. The photography exhibition organised. International project “Help Portrait” (2016–2018) at children orphanages, Nursery Houses. Project on mounds of Ukmergė Region (2017). International photography camp “Focus point – Deltuva” dedicated to the 800th anniversary of founding of Deltuva. “Living on the margins” – a video film created on oldest inhabitants of Pašilė, stories and traditions of their lives. Cooperation with the culture almanac “Eskizai”.
