Lithuanian Centre of Non-Formal Youth Education provides a wide spectrum of services in the fields of non-formal education methodology, professional orientation, pedagogical competencies, education of gifted children, civic, physical culture and sport education, ecological, tourism, popularization of science, artistic and cultural education.
Projects
1. The competition “Our Treasures” consisting of a quiz “Open the Depths of the National Treasures” and a competition of schoolchildren able to talk in dialects – “Treasures of Dialects”. The project is focused on schoolchildren of basic education schools. It aims at preserving and reviving the distinctiveness of the ethnographic regions, fostering the dialects and propagating the ethnic culture. 2. An annual educational project “Cultures’ Cycle” in the field of non-formal civic education of schoolchildren. It is aimed at raising national consciousness and tolerance of schoolchildren, fostering and disseminating the multicultural heritage of Lithuania. 3. The Lithuanian Schoolchildren‘s Olympics in Ethnic Culture. 4. The project “Preserving and Fostering the Lithuanian Culinary and Ethnic Heritage” promoting to introduce the children to regional traditions; to urge about strengthening the national identity, ethnic culture, dialects; to raise the understanding about holidays, traditional dishes, the preparation and serving.
